Adult Basic Education Student Assistance Program (ABESAP) helps adults enrolled in skills upgrading, education and training courses.

Altrusa Nanaimo has bursaries for high school and college age young women going on to higher education. They also offer Project Re-entry that provides funds up to $1,000 each to older women for re-training to help them get back into the work force.

Amber Education Services operates the Training Support Program, which is open to unemployed EI eligible individuals.

British Columbia Student Loan Service Bureau is an accredited Service Bureau in the distribution of loans, monitoring students' interest-free status, collecting repayments from borrowers and remitting to the province.

Apprenticeship Incentive Grant
The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) is a taxable cash grant available to registered apprentices once they have successfully completed their first or second year (level) of an apprenticeship program in oneof the Red Seal trades.

Canada Student Loans provides loans and grants to Canadians attending a University, College, Trade School, or Vocational School, if they need help financing their education.

Canada Study Grant for the Accomodation of Students with Permanent Disablities for students if their permanent disability creates barriers to post-secondary education, may be eligible for a non-repayable Canada study grant of up to $8,000 per program year.

Canadian Millenium Scholarship Foundation provides students with opportunities to pursue the post-secondary education they need to prepare themselves for the future.

The Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Program is open to students who, after completing two years of study at a B.C. public college, university college or institute, must transfer their credits into full-time studies at another public post-secondary institution in B.C. to complete their degree.

Millenium Access Bursary is given automatically to dependent students who apply for student loans, whose parental contribution is assessed at less than $1,000.

The Minerva Foundation has established an Education Awards program with British Columbia’s post-secondary institutions to help BC women advance themselves by continuing their education.

StudentAid BC helps eligible students with the cost of their post-secondary education through loans, grants, bursaries, scholarships and special programs. This includes the BC Student Assistance Program for persons with disabilities, students with dependents and students on income assistance.

Community Development Trust This website provides information about The Community Development Trust Tuition Assistance program which provides up to $5,000 for tuition for foresty workerker that have been laid off.
