Altrusa Nanaimo has
bursaries for high school and college age young women going on to
higher education. They also offer Project Re-entry that provides funds
up to $1,000 each to older women for re-training to help them get
back into the work force. |

Apprenticeship Incentive Grant
The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) is a taxable cash grant available to registered apprentices once they have successfully completed their first or second year (level) of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal trades. |

Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Program is open to students who,
after completing two years of study at a B.C. public college, university
college or institute, must transfer their credits into full-time studies
at another public post-secondary institution in B.C. to complete their
degree. |

Millenium
Access Bursary is given automatically to dependent students who
apply for student loans, whose parental contribution is assessed at
less than $1,000. |

The Minerva
Foundation has established an Education Awards program with British
Columbia’s post-secondary institutions to help BC women advance
themselves by continuing their education. |

StudentAid BC helps eligible students with the cost of their post-secondary education
through loans, grants, bursaries, scholarships and special programs.
This includes the BC Student Assistance Program for persons with disabilities,
students with dependents and students on income assistance. |
