Author Todd Bermont writes in his book, 10 Insider Secrets to a Winning Job Search that in as little as 24 hours, “you can get the job you want” by following his advice.  He backs up this claim by describing job search techniques and showing how successful said techniques were in his own life.  This claim and others contained within the book seem too good to be true at times, but the advice is solid.  Time of success in your job search may vary, but the holistic approach to job searching which he advocates is very effective. 

The approach works because job seekers are encouraged to be positive and proactive in their job search.  By identifying interests and strengths, avoiding a tendency to be hampered by negativity (fear of rejection, selling yourself or your qualifications and experience short, etc.), and following basic steps outlined in the book; you can move forward and succeed.  So ignore some of the timelines presented in the book, believe in yourself, follow the tips and advice (even the ones you think you already know or do), and get that job!
